Our mattresses and bedding use carefully selected materials, including organic natural latex, NZ wool and organic cotton and hemp fabrics.

The materials surrounding you while you sleep matter.
Many conventional mattresses contain polyurethane foam, polyester filling and synthetic fabrics. They may also use glues or additional chemical treatments during production.
We take a simpler approach.
INNATURE mattresses contain no polyurethane foam, solvent-based glues, added chemical flame retardants or formaldehyde-based adhesives.
Instead, we build our mattresses with natural materials and hand-stitch the internal layers. This keeps the construction simple, secure and transparent.
You can rest knowing what is inside your bed and how it has been made.
Sustainability Begins with Conscious Choices
More people are asking thoughtful questions about the products they buy.
Where did the materials come from? How were they produced? How long will the product last? What will happen when it reaches the end of its life?
We ask these questions too.
No manufactured product has absolutely no environmental impact. However, careful choices can reduce unnecessary synthetics, waste and frequent replacement.
We choose renewable natural materials wherever possible. We also make our products locally and sell directly to you from our Auckland factory.
Most INNATURE products are made to order. This helps us avoid unnecessary stock, overproduction and wasted materials.

A poorly made mattress may need replacing after only a few years. That creates more waste and requires more energy and materials for its replacement.
Natural latex is valued for its resilience and durability. NZ wool, hemp fabric and solid timber are also chosen for their long-lasting performance.

What Happens at the End of Its Life?
Natural materials generally break down more readily than petroleum-based foams and synthetic polyester fibres.
Latex, wool, cotton and hemp can biodegrade under suitable environmental and industrial conditions.
However, a complete mattress is not simply home-compostable. Zips, threads, labels and other small components may require separate handling.
Our focus is to use fewer synthetic components, make products durable and create a simpler construction that is easier to understand.
Nature provides remarkable materials. Our responsibility is to use them carefully and respectfully.
Reducing and Reusing Packaging
Protective packaging is necessary to keep mattresses and furniture clean and undamaged during storage and delivery.
We cannot eliminate plastic completely, but we work to reduce unnecessary waste.
We reuse clean plastic packaging received from our suppliers whenever it remains suitable. We also recycle plastic and other packaging materials wherever local recycling options allow.
Reusing packaging may not look perfectly polished, but it prevents useful material from being discarded after only one use.
For us, responsible choices are more important than appearances.
