From the natural latex core to the pure New Zealand wool and organic hemp and cotton fabric, this mattress is designed with your baby's health and comfort in mind.

Composition

the core is made of 50mm firm-density natural organic latex. The mattress is finished with a cover made from unbleached organic cotton & hemp fabric, quilted with 250gsm NZ eco wool wadding.

Excellent support and comfort is achieved with our layering process and each step is completed with care.

Our Organic Latex Wool Bassinet mattress is an ideal option for any bassinet, whether it has a solid wooden board base, slat base or a woven base.

Any custom made baby mattress which measures more than 40 x 80cm will be quoted upon receipt of your template or measurements. Pricing on the Latex or Coco core mattress, will start from $205.

We can also make oval shaped bassinet mattresses. Simply send us a template (this can be out of newspaper).

We recommend use of a “Dri cot” wool and water resistant protector plus an Organic cotton sheet set ($60) for the best-health environment . Please be aware that Plastic Baby monitors will reflect moisture back onto the mattress. Plastic Baby monitors are known to cause patches of mould where they are positioned. To avoid this, wrap the monitor in a woollen cover, or place it under the mattress with a woollen blanket between the monitor and the mattress. You will need to air those items regularly.

Care & Maintenance

Regular Rotation & Airing: Twice a week, turn your mattress over and rotate it from end to end. Regular airing is crucial, especially in damp or poorly ventilated rooms during winter. A sunny day is ideal for airing it outdoors. In humid conditions, consider using a dehumidifier.

Cleaning Instructions: Lightly sponge the mattress surface for cleaning. Use a warm iron to dry the area. Avoid getting the internal fibers wet and do not remove the cover.

Baby Monitor Caution: If you use a baby monitor, be aware that it can trap moisture, potentially causing mould. To mitigate this, cover the monitor pad with a woollen blanket or make a woollen cover for it. Regularly air these items along with the mattress.

As most of our items are handmade per order, please allow production time of approximately:

‘Zen’ and ‘Gypsy’ bed bases: 2-3 weeks
All other bed bases e.g. ‘Nova’, ‘Cubi Plus’, ‘New Classic’: 4-5 weeks
Adult Mattresses and Futons: 2-3 weeks
Baby Bassinet Mattresses: 1 week
Cot Mattresses: 1-2 weeks (contact us if urgent and we will aim to meet your timeline as best we can).
Child and Teenage Mattresses: 1-2 weeks
Latex Toppers: 1-2 Weeks
Furniture (including Futon Sofa Beds): 4-6 weeks
Small items (organic bedding and duvet inners etc) will be dispatched within 48hrs if in stock. Please call to confirm delivery times for products on backorder.
