Ideal for Children's Beds

This budget-friendly mattress is designed for use on bases with solid slats, making it an excellent option for children's beds. It is made of 38mm Latex core of Medium density, 2 x layers of cotton and 4 layers of 500gsm NZ wool, providing the ideal level of support for individuals under 80kg.

If you're looking to enhance the comfort of your mattress, the INNATURE Organic Latex Core Cotton & Wool Futon Mattress can be used with a Organic Latex topper.

Composition

Prime cover made of Organic cotton and hemp fabric. Filled with 4 layers of 500gsm natural carded NZ wool, alternating with 2 layers of 100% unbleached cotton wadding and Organic Latex core of 38mm Medium density. The futon is hand stitched.

Care & Maintenance

Regular Airing and Turning: Essential for maintaining mattress quality.
Additional & Removable Cover: Cotton canvas cover is machine washable for easy maintenance.

Order processing and delivery times

As most of our items are handmade per order, please allow production time of approximately:

Cotton/Wool Pillows: 2-7 Days
‘Zen’ and ‘Gypsy’ bed bases: 2-3 weeks
All other bed bases e.g. ‘Nova’, ‘Cubi Plus’, ‘New Classic’: 4-5 weeks
Adult Mattresses and Futons: 2-3 weeks
Baby Bassinet Mattresses: 1 week
Cot Mattresses: 1-2 weeks (contact us if urgent and we will aim to meet your timeline as best we can).

A comfortable and more durable option than just cotton and wool futon mattress. Medium Firm. Should be used on a base with solid slats.10cm thick (4″).

The Latex core (38mm) in the middle of the futon helps slowing down the natural process of compression that occurs to the layers of cotton and wool, thus extending the life time of the mattress. It also adds desirable comfort.

It is also a very good budget friendly mattress for kids.

Recommended to be used with an Organic wool mattress protector.

It needs to be aired and turn regularly.

Can be folded in half for storage or transportation. Designed for NZ climate.

Futon mattresses should be used on solid slat bed frames and bases or on a flat surface. We do not recommend using a futon mattress on a flexible slat bed frame as it needs good support for quality performance.

If you are looking for a mattress for a flexible slat base, we recommend our INNATURE Organic Latex Mattresses.

This Futon mattress also comes with an additional cover made from 100% cotton canvas. The cover has a zipper, can be removed, and is washable. It can come in the colour of your choice (see colour panel image). It makes sense if you use it without bedding sometimes – for Futon Sofa Bed such as ’Omni’ or ‘Lida‘.

In the selection, you can choose the option “with cover” and later in the “Note” window, lets us know the colour of your choice: Off-white, Fawn/Beige, Khaki, Stone, Denim, Green, Pink, Burgundy, Navy Blue, Chocolate or Black.

Most popular are Off-white/Natural, Fawn (Beige), Khaki and Stone as these colours are very neutral.

If you buy this mattress to sleep on, then it probably makes more sense to buy an Organic Mattress protector instead of a cotton canvas cover.
