Each INNATURE children’s pillow is carefully filled with layers of 100% natural pure cotton and pure New Zealand wool. This layered design allows the pillow to softly cradle a child’s head and neck while maintaining light, even support—ideal for growing bodies. The combination of cotton and wool naturally regulates temperature, helping children stay comfortably cool in summer and warm in winter.

The filling is encased in a beautiful organic cotton/hemp fabric, chosen for its strength, softness, and breathability. Hemp adds durability, while organic cotton feels gentle against delicate skin. All materials are natural, renewable, and selected with care for children’s wellbeing.

Composition

The innovative layering of 500gsm New Zealand pure wool and Australian raw cotton allows us to custom design our pillows. The options available are distinguished by the specific layers used and can be made in different thickness appropriate to child’s age.

Natural wool breathes and insulates and is perfect for body temperature regulation – ideal for both summer and winter temperatures. Added to this, wool is cosy and the cotton layers contribute to durable support.

By combining both wool and raw cotton together we achieve a supportive, comfortable and durable pillow.

When received via courier the pillow will have some build up of natural wool smell from being packaged and sealed for the courier delivery. Please, air it on direct sun.
Care & Maintenance

Regular Fluffing: Keep the filling evenly distributed.
Spot Cleaning: Gently clean spots with mild detergent; avoid heavy soaking.
Airing: Air out in direct sunlight to eliminate natural wool odor from packaging.
Avoid Excessive Heat: Protect from direct sunlight and high temperatures.

Order processing and delivery times

As most of our items are handmade per order, please allow production time of approximately:

  • Cotton/Wool Pillows: 2-3 days
  • other Natural pillows: 2-3 days
  • ‘Zen’ and ‘Gypsy’ bed bases: 2-3 weeks
  • All other bed bases e.g. ‘Nova’, ‘Cubi Plus’, ‘New Classic’: 3-4weeks

OUR Bed's woodwork production is full for pre-Christmas deliveries. Orders placed now will be made after the summer break in the end of January/February

  • Adult Mattresses and Futons: 1-2 weeks
  • Baby Bassinet Mattresses: 1 week
  • Cot Mattresses: 1-2 weeks (contact us if urgent and we will aim to meet your timeline as best we can).
  • Child and Teenage Mattresses: 1-2 weeks
  • Latex Toppers: 1-2 Weeks
  • Furniture (including Futon Sofa Beds): 3-4 weeks

INNATURE's 14-Day Customer Comfort Exchange Policy

At INNATURE, we understand the importance of finding the perfect mattress to ensure a restful night's sleep. We offer you the opportunity to test your mattress at home to confirm that you have selected the right bed for your needs. This is especially beneficial for customers from other cities who cannot visit our Auckland showroom. If you are not satisfied with the firmness of your mattress, please talk to us. We are happy to exchange your mattress core within 14 days of delivery.

This policy is valid for INNATURE Latex mattresses and doesn't cover Futon type mattresses.

Terms and Conditions:

  1. Standard Sizes Only: This policy applies to mattresses of standard NZ sizes and does not extend to custom-made orders with customized sizes or shapes.

  2. Sleep Consultation Service: If you live outside of Auckland, please contact us for our complimentary Sleep Consultation service. Our most experienced sleep consultant, Ursel, has developed a system of questions to accurately profile the best INNATURE product match for you. This process, refined over two decades, ensures we meet your unique body-support requirements. Everyone deserves a full night’s sleep, and many factors affect healthy sleep. Ursel can provide you with the tools to select the right bed and advice to help you develop healthy sleep habits.

  3. Health and Safety Standards: Please note that due to health and safety standards, we cannot accept returns of pillows, toppers, or bed linen such as overlays, sheets, etc.

  4. Choice of Firmness: The choice of firmness for the new mattress core must be discussed and agreed upon by INNATURE. We consider your personal preferences to select replacement options that best meet your unique requirements. In some cases, we might advise adding a Latex topper to achieve the perfect balance between excellent spine alignment and pressure point relief.

  5. Price Differences: If the cost of the replacement mattress core is higher than your initial choice, the difference in price will be charged.

  6. Transport Costs: INNATURE does not cover the cost of transport for items to be returned to our premises and back to your home.

Why Pillow Thickness Matters for Children

Children’s bodies are constantly growing, and the right pillow thickness is essential for healthy posture during sleep. Ideally, a child’s head and neck should stay in neutral alignment with the rest of the spine—not tilted up or dropped down.

A pillow that is too thin may cause the head to fall backward, while a pillow that is too thick can push the head forward. Both can place unnecessary strain on the neck and spine. Proper thickness helps:

INNATURE Kids Pillow Thickness Guide

All INNATURE kids’ pillows are made in a standard NZ size: 47 × 70 cm, fitting standard New Zealand pillowcases.

Recommended thickness by age:

  • 2–3 years: 4–5 cm
  • 3–4 years: 5–6 cm
  • 5–7 years: 7–8 cm
  • 8–10 years: 9–10 cm

These thicknesses are carefully chosen to match the changing proportions of a child’s head, neck, and shoulders as they grow.
