Our great grandmothers knew the benefits of using wool: natural, breathable & available! Now it is also known for its natural fire-retardant capabilities, along with anti-bacterial, anti-microbial and temperature regulating properties. Get ready for the newest member of your family.

Medium grade mattress.

Thickness is 25 – 30mm when compressed down with hand – good for your little one to be comfortable and safe. This mattress is an ideal option for any bassinet that has a solid wooden board support.

Composition: unbleached organic cotton/hemp cover, filled with three layers of 100% NZ pure wool (500gsm). Hand stitched.

Sizes: Includes 400mm x 800mm, 400mm x 760mm, 380mm x 800mm or any custom size and shape.

You can specify the custom size to us in the “Note” window while you are checking out using our shopping cart, or you can just email us. The cost of any bassinet mattress larger than 80x40cm will be calculated by our friendly team, to reflect the additional materials required, and we will let you know the price difference.

We can also make all bassinet mattresses in oval shape. We need you to send us a template (for example out of newspaper or plastic bag).

Recommended to be used with an “Dri Cot” Bassinet water resistant woollen protector and with an Organic cotton sheet set (fitted and flat) ($60).

! If you use a Baby monitor, please understand that it is a piece of plastic which doesn’t breathe and will reflect moisture back into the mattress. It can be the reason for a mouldy patch to appear. To avoid this, please use a woollen cover for the monitor pad or put it under the mattress with a woollen blanket in between. You will need to air those items regularly.
