The INNATURE Organic Wool Baby Bassinet Mattress is a beautiful, safe, and natural sleep surface for your baby. 📏 Customised for Your Needs

Available in standard bassinet sizes, this mattress can also be custom-made to fit any size or shape, including oval bassinets — simply send us a template. With a maximum size of 80cm x 40cm, it’s the perfect natural sleep solution for most bassinets.

For larger bassinets, we recommend the INNATURE Organic Latex Wool Bassinet Mattress for additional support and structure.

Composition

Unbleached organic cotton/hemp cover, filled with three layers of 100% NZ pure wool (500gsm). Hand stitched.

Sizes:

  • Includes 400mm x 800mm, 400mm x 760mm, 380mm x 800mm or any custom size and shape.
  • You can specify the custom size to us in the “Note” window while you are checking out using our shopping cart, or you can just email us. The cost of any bassinet mattress larger than 80x40cm will be calculated by our friendly team. Give us a call or email.
  • We can also make oval bassinet mattresses. Simply send us a template (for example out of newspaper or paper bag).

We recommend the use of a “Dri Cot” Bassinet woollen protector and an Organic cotton sheet set (fitted and flat) ($60).

If you use a Plastic Baby monitor, it will reflect moisture back into the mattress. This can cause a mouldy patch to appear. To avoid this, please use a woollen cover for the monitor pad or put it under the mattress with a woollen blanket in between. You will need to air those items regularly.
Care & Maintenance

Regular Rotation & Airing: Twice a week, turn your mattress over and rotate it from end to end. Regular airing is crucial, especially in damp or poorly ventilated rooms during winter. A sunny day is ideal for airing it outdoors. In humid conditions, consider using a dehumidifier.

Cleaning Instructions: Lightly sponge the mattress surface for cleaning. Use a warm iron to dry the area. Avoid getting the internal fibres wet and do not remove the cover.

Washing Guide:
• Hand-wash in lukewarm water (20°C) using eco-friendly wool detergents.
• Do not wring the mattress.
• Roll in a towel to remove excess water.
• Dry by hanging in a sunny spot or warm cupboard. Avoid tumble drying. Use a warm iron if necessary.

Baby Monitor Caution: If you use a baby monitor, be aware that it can trap moisture, potentially causing mould. To mitigate this, cover the monitor pad with a woollen blanket or make a woollen cover for it. Regularly air these items along with the mattress.

Order processing and delivery times

As most of our items are handmade per order, please allow production time of approximately:

  • Cotton/Wool Pillows: 2-3 days
  • other Natural pillows: 2-3 days
  • ‘Zen’ and ‘Gypsy’ bed bases: 2-3 weeks
  • All other bed bases e.g. ‘Nova’, ‘Cubi Plus’, ‘New Classic’: 3-4weeks

OUR Bed's woodwork production is full for pre-Christmas deliveries. Orders placed now will be made after the summer break in the end of January/February

  • Adult Mattresses and Futons: 1-2 weeks
  • Baby Bassinet Mattresses: 1 week
  • Cot Mattresses: 1-2 weeks (contact us if urgent and we will aim to meet your timeline as best we can).
  • Child and Teenage Mattresses: 1-2 weeks
  • Latex Toppers: 1-2 Weeks
  • Furniture (including Futon Sofa Beds): 3-4 weeks

INNATURE's 14-Day Customer Comfort Exchange Policy

At INNATURE, we understand the importance of finding the perfect mattress to ensure a restful night's sleep. We offer you the opportunity to test your mattress at home to confirm that you have selected the right bed for your needs. This is especially beneficial for customers from other cities who cannot visit our Auckland showroom. If you are not satisfied with the firmness of your mattress, please talk to us. We are happy to exchange your mattress core within 14 days of delivery.

This policy is valid for INNATURE Latex mattresses and doesn't cover Futon type mattresses.

Terms and Conditions:

  1. Standard Sizes Only: This policy applies to mattresses of standard NZ sizes and does not extend to custom-made orders with customized sizes or shapes.

  2. Sleep Consultation Service: If you live outside of Auckland, please contact us for our complimentary Sleep Consultation service. Our most experienced sleep consultant, Ursel, has developed a system of questions to accurately profile the best INNATURE product match for you. This process, refined over two decades, ensures we meet your unique body-support requirements. Everyone deserves a full night’s sleep, and many factors affect healthy sleep. Ursel can provide you with the tools to select the right bed and advice to help you develop healthy sleep habits.

  3. Health and Safety Standards: Please note that due to health and safety standards, we cannot accept returns of pillows, toppers, or bed linen such as overlays, sheets, etc.

  4. Choice of Firmness: The choice of firmness for the new mattress core must be discussed and agreed upon by INNATURE. We consider your personal preferences to select replacement options that best meet your unique requirements. In some cases, we might advise adding a Latex topper to achieve the perfect balance between excellent spine alignment and pressure point relief.

  5. Price Differences: If the cost of the replacement mattress core is higher than your initial choice, the difference in price will be charged.

  6. Transport Costs: INNATURE does not cover the cost of transport for items to be returned to our premises and back to your home.
