Latex Core Technology

At 15cm thick, this mattress features a 50mm Latex core centrally placed within the futon. The Latex core slows down the natural compression process of the cotton and wool layers, extending the lifespan of the mattress while enhancing comfort for a restful night's sleep.

Cover made of Organic cotton and hemp fabric. Filled with 4 layers of 500gsm natural carded NZ wool, alternating with 3 layers of 100% unbleached cotton wadding and medium density Organic Latex core of 50mm. The futon is hand stitched.

Order processing and delivery times

As most of our items are handmade per order, please allow production time of approximately:

  • Cotton/Wool Pillows: 2-7 days
  • other Natural pillows: 2-7 days
  • ‘Zen’ and ‘Gypsy’ bed bases: 2-3 weeks
  • All other bed bases e.g. ‘Nova’, ‘Cubi Plus’, ‘New Classic’: 4-6weeks
  • Adult Mattresses and Futons: 2 weeks
  • Baby Bassinet Mattresses: 1 week
  • Cot Mattresses: 1-2 weeks (contact us if urgent and we will aim to meet your timeline as best we can).
  • Child and Teenage Mattresses: 1-2 weeks
  • Latex Toppers: 1-2 Weeks
  • Furniture (including Futon Sofa Beds): 4-6 weeks
  • Small items (organic bedding and duvet inners etc) will be dispatched within 48hrs if in stock. Please call to confirm delivery times for products on backorder.

INNATURE's 14-Day Customer Comfort Exchange Policy

At INNATURE, we understand the importance of finding the perfect mattress to ensure a restful night's sleep. We offer you the opportunity to test your mattress at home to confirm that you have selected the right bed for your needs. This is especially beneficial for customers from other cities who cannot visit our Auckland showroom. If you are not satisfied with the firmness of your mattress, please talk to us. We are happy to exchange your mattress core within 14 days of delivery.

This policy is valid for INNATURE Latex mattresses and doesn't cover Futon type mattresses.

Terms and Conditions:

  1. Standard Sizes Only: This policy applies to mattresses of standard NZ sizes and does not extend to custom-made orders with customized sizes or shapes.

  2. Sleep Consultation Service: If you live outside of Auckland, please contact us for our complimentary Sleep Consultation service. Our most experienced sleep consultant, Ursel, has developed a system of questions to accurately profile the best INNATURE product match for you. This process, refined over two decades, ensures we meet your unique body-support requirements. Everyone deserves a full night’s sleep, and many factors affect healthy sleep. Ursel can provide you with the tools to select the right bed and advice to help you develop healthy sleep habits.

  3. Health and Safety Standards: Please note that due to health and safety standards, we cannot accept returns of pillows, toppers, or bed linen such as overlays, sheets, etc.

  4. Choice of Firmness: The choice of firmness for the new mattress core must be discussed and agreed upon by INNATURE. We consider your personal preferences to select replacement options that best meet your unique requirements. In some cases, we might advise adding a Latex topper to achieve the perfect balance between excellent spine alignment and pressure point relief.

  5. Price Differences: If the cost of the replacement mattress core is higher than your initial choice, the difference in price will be charged.

  6. Transport Costs: INNATURE does not cover the cost of transport for items to be returned to our premises and back to your home.

A comfortable and most durable Futon Mattress. Designed for NZ climate. Medium. Should be used on a base with solid slats.15cm thick.

The Latex core (50mm) in the middle of the futon helps slowing down the natural process of compression that occurs to the layers of cotton and wool, thus extending the life time of the mattress. It also adds desirable comfort.

A 15cm thick Natural Latex futon is also an ideal option for the Metro bed-settee as it is very comfortable to sit and sleep on.

Recommended to be used with an Organic wool mattress protector.

It needs to be aired and turned regularly.

Can be folded in half for storage or transportation. Designed for NZ climate.

Latex Futon mattresses should be used on solid slat bed frames and bases or on a flat surface. We do not recommend using a futon mattress on a flexible slat bed frame as it needs good support for quality performance.

If you are looking for a mattress for a flexible slat base, we recommend our INNATURE Organic Latex Mattresses.

This Futon mattress also comes with an additional cover made from 100% cotton canvas. The cover has a zipper, can be removed, and is washable. It can come in the colour of your choice (see colour panel image). It makes sense, if you use it without bedding sometimes – for Futon Sofa Bed as ‘METRO’ or ‘STUDIO’.

Prices for additional covers are:

  • Single & King Single – $150 – $160
  • Double & Queen – $200 – $240

In the selection, you can choose the option ‘with cover’ and later in the ‘Note’ window, lets us know the colour of your choice: Off-white, Fawn/Beige, Khaki, Stone, Denim, Green, Pink, Burgundy, Navy Blue, Chocolate or Black. Most popular are Off-white/Natural, Fawn (Beige), Khaki and Stone as these colours are very neutral.

If you buy this mattress to sleep on, then it probably makes more sense to buy an Organic Mattress protector instead of a cotton canvas cover.
