Composition

The mattress core is made of 90mm natural latex of medium (80kg/m3) density, 250gsm pure NZ wool around the core, with a 100% cotton inner cover. All layers are hand stitched together (no glues are required), and finished with a zipped organic cotton hemp fabric cover that is quilted with 250gsm NZ wool wadding.

This Cot Mattress cover can be removed and exchanged for a new outer cover to create a fresh start for the next child.

Sizes:

  • Thickness approx. 100mm 690mm x 1290 -1300mm, 600mm x 1200mm or custom sized to your requirements.
  • You can specify the custom size to us in the “Note” window while you are checking out using our shopping cart, or you can just email us. We can also make all cot mattresses in oval shape. We need you to send us a template (for example out of newspaper or plastic bag).

Recommended to be used with Organic wool mattress protector or Dri-cot wool water resistant protector.

If you use a Baby monitor, please, know that it is a piece of plastic which doesn’t breath and will reflect the moisture back into the mattress. It can be a reason for mouldy patch to appear. To avoid it please make a woollen cover for the monitor pad or put it under woollen blanket and under the mattress You will need to air regular those items.

Ordering & Delivery

Order processing and delivery times

As most of our items are handmade per order, please allow production time of approximately:

  • Cotton/Wool Pillows: 2-7 Days
  • ‘Zen’ and ‘Gypsy’ bed bases: 2-3 weeks
  • All other bed bases e.g. ‘Nova’, ‘Cubi Plus’, ‘New Classic’: 4-5 weeks
  • Adult Mattresses and Futons: 2-3 weeks
  • Baby Bassinet Mattresses: 1 week
  • Cot Mattresses: 1-2 weeks (contact us if urgent and we will aim to meet your timeline as best we can).
  • Child and Teenage Mattresses: 1-2 weeks
  • Latex Toppers: 1-2 Weeks
  • Furniture (including Futon Sofa Beds): 4-6 weeks
  • Small items (organic bedding and duvet inners etc) will be dispatched within 48hrs if in stock. Please call to confirm delivery times for products on backorder.
