The INNATURE AWAKEN Organic Latex Mattress is a fully plant-based, vegan-friendly mattress, thoughtfully designed for those who avoid animal fibres or have a wool allergy — without compromising on comfort, breathability, or support. This mattress is made using only plant-based materials, including organic natural latex, Tencel™ fibre, and cotton / hemp fabric.
The AWAKEN Organic Latex Mattress is designed for those who seek a 100% plant-based, wool-free sleep solution — offering natural comfort and breathable support without the use of animal fibres.
At its core is a 100% natural organic latex core, available in Firm, Medium, Medium Soft, or Soft density options.
This allows you to choose the level of support and comfort that best suits your body and sleep preferences, while maintaining healthy spinal alignment throughout the night. Wrapped in layers of organic cotton and Tencel™ (eucalyptus fibre), the mattress breathes naturally, regulates temperature, and creates a clean, calm sleep environment — FREE from wool, synthetic foams, glues, or chemical fire retardants.
Handcrafted in New Zealand, all layers are hand-stitched rather than glued, allowing the mattress to breathe and age beautifully over time. Designed to be flipped and rotated, the AWAKEN mattress offers long-term comfort with a consciously plant-based construction.
Some customers choose the AWAKEN mattress on its own for its clean, breathable feel, while others pair it with a wool-free Latex topper (made per order) and washable Tencel mattress topper or protector for added surface comfort and easy care — a simple way to personalise comfort while staying completely wool-free.

Ordering & Delivery
Order processing and delivery times
As most of our items are handmade per order, please allow production time of approximately:
- Cotton/Wool Pillows: 2-3 days
- other Natural pillows: 2-3 days
- ‘Zen’ and ‘Gypsy’ bed bases: 2-3 weeks
- All other bed bases e.g. ‘Nova’, ‘Cubi Plus’, ‘New Classic’: 3-4weeks
OUR Bed's woodwork production is full for pre-Christmas deliveries. Orders placed now will be made after the summer break in the end of January/February
- Adult Mattresses and Futons: 1-2 weeks
- Baby Bassinet Mattresses: 1 week
- Cot Mattresses: 1-2 weeks (contact us if urgent and we will aim to meet your timeline as best we can).
- Child and Teenage Mattresses: 1-2 weeks
- Latex Toppers: 1-2 Weeks
- Furniture (including Futon Sofa Beds): 3-4 weeks

- Small items (organic bedding and duvet inners etc) will be dispatched within 48hrs if in stock. Please call to confirm delivery times for products on backorder.

INNATURE's 14-Day Customer Comfort Exchange Policy
At INNATURE, we understand the importance of finding the perfect mattress to ensure a restful night's sleep. We offer you the opportunity to test your mattress at home to confirm that you have selected the right bed for your needs. This is especially beneficial for customers from other cities who cannot visit our Auckland showroom. If you are not satisfied with the firmness of your mattress, please talk to us. We are happy to exchange your mattress core within 14 days of delivery.
This policy is valid for INNATURE Latex mattresses and doesn't cover Futon type mattresses.

Standard Sizes Only: This policy applies to mattresses of standard NZ sizes and does not extend to custom-made orders with customized sizes or shapes.

Sleep Consultation Service: If you live outside of Auckland, please contact us for our complimentary Sleep Consultation service. Our most experienced sleep consultant, Ursel, has developed a system of questions to accurately profile the best INNATURE product match for you. This process, refined over two decades, ensures we meet your unique body-support requirements. Everyone deserves a full night’s sleep, and many factors affect healthy sleep. Ursel can provide you with the tools to select the right bed and advice to help you develop healthy sleep habits.

Health and Safety Standards: Please note that due to health and safety standards, we cannot accept returns of pillows, toppers, or bed linen such as overlays, sheets, etc.

Choice of Firmness: The choice of firmness for the new mattress core must be discussed and agreed upon by INNATURE. We consider your personal preferences to select replacement options that best meet your unique requirements. In some cases, we might advise adding a Latex topper to achieve the perfect balance between excellent spine alignment and pressure point relief.

Price Differences: If the cost of the replacement mattress core is higher than your initial choice, the difference in price will be charged.

Transport Costs: INNATURE does not cover the cost of transport for items to be returned to our premises and back to your home.
